Blue Ox Tattoo is a queer-run private studio in Portland's historic Kenton neighborhood (8321 N Denver Ave), owned by Mikal Gilmore since 2015. The studio houses a team of artists with varied styles and backgrounds, specializing in custom tattoos in both black and gray and intense color, with a focus on medium to larger pieces. Artists include Kati Green (blackwork/realism). Books closed for existing clients only as of Fall 2026. Primarily appointment-based with walk-ins when possible.
